Battle of the Bulge

General Elmo traced the enemy’s advance on his map. Looking up to the staff officers surrounding the table in his tent, Elmo smiled.
“The arctic forces have pushed their advance too far,” he said. “Although winter is still far from beaten, its offensive has broken.”
“Their bombardment of Snow will continue today,” he continued, “but it will falter by noon. Despite continued pressure by northerly winds, we can push the temperature back into the low 30s. Tomorrow, we’ll have some sun to help us hold the line at 30. Winter cannot hold the current line. If we can contain the bulge this week, we can resume warming operations by April.”
