The "M" Club will be inducting eight former and current Gophers into the 2009 Hall of Fame tonight in a ceremony at TCF Bank Stadium.

To be held in the DQ Club room, the ceremony honors seven players and one coach. Inductees participated in sports including men’s hockey, softball, wrestling, football, cross country, track and field and swimming and diving. Dennis Dale, currently in his 25th year as men’s head coach of swimming and diving, is the lone coach in this year’s class.

This is the seventh year the Hall has combined the men’s and women’s hall of fame, and this is the first year it is being held at TCF Bank Stadium.

The program for the honorees begins at 6 p.m. with a social hour, with the main program beginning at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the event can be purchased through the University’s Athletic Ticket office, with tickets costing $35 for individuals and $25 for active "M" Club members.

All eight inductees will participate in Saturday’s football festivities. The class of 2009 will lead the Victory Walk before the game against California, and they will be honored during a ceremony at halftime.
