The Gophers moved up five spots to No. 18 in Monday’s Associated Press top-25 poll after victories over Nebraska and Iowa at home in the last week.
Minnesota’s No. 23 ranking last week was its lowest since the team was unranked in the Nov. 19 poll. The Gophers (17-5, 5-4 Big Ten) had lost four straight games before last Tuesday’s win against the Cornhuskers.
Indiana reassumed the top spot in the poll. The Hoosiers knocked off then-No. 1 Michigan 81-73 on Saturday in Bloomington, Ind.
Michigan slid down to the No. 3 spot, replacing Indiana.
No. 10 Ohio State and No. 12 Michigan State round out the Big Ten teams in the top-25. The Gophers play at Michigan State on Wednesday and at Ohio State on Feb. 20.
