Freshman guard Blake Hoffarber has been a spark all season off the bench for Minnesota, especially with his smooth shooting touch from outside.
In Minnesota’s Big Ten home opener against Northwestern, Hoffarber showed he is not backing down for conference play.
Going 5-5 from three point territory in the first half, the freshman sharp-shooter has the Gophers out to a commanding 42-29 halftime lead.
Minnesota has been able to break Northwestern’s 1-2-2 zone defense with a mix of inside and outside play, as senior Dan Coleman looks to be back on track with 10 points and nine rebounds before the break.
More to come after the game…..
