All-conference running back Marcus Coker has been released from his scholarship, and will leave the University of Iowa.

The sophomore rushed for 1,384 and 15 touchdowns yards in 2011. He was suspended for the Dec. 30 Insight Bowl for what were described as “disciplinary reasons.”

Coker is the fifth running back to leave the program since 2010.
