The University’s ultimate club is hosting a seven team indoor tournament this Sunday, Jan 23 from 9:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Fieldhouse.
Teams attending include Minnesota-Duluth, St Cloud, Steven’s Point, Gustavus, North Dakota, Iowa State, and Minnesota. This is the second year of this tournament, and last year was a big success, with eight teams showing up.
Minnesota combined teams to take third place last year at the meet.
Last year, the Gophers’ women’s team qualified for nationals in Colorado, and the men’s team qualified.
The meet should give the Gophers a good idea of what to expect this spring, when it comes time to qualify for nationals. All the teams at this weekend’s tournament are in Minnesota’s region.
