The 1977 3-D porn movie is showing at college campuses throughout the country and has been so popular that critics are calling it “the new ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show.'”
The U Film Society sold every one of the auditorium’s 350 seats for both the Friday and Saturday night showings. Al Milgrom, director of the U Film Society, says he is considering extending “Disco Dolls” for another weekend.
It’s a cult, camp classic and one of the films on which “Boogie Nights” is based, Milgrom said. Besides, “we haven’t had many sellouts, and we have to stay in business.”
