The Gopher football team’s annual Spring Game could be played outdoors this time around, football sports information director Andy Seeley told the Daily in an e-mail Friday.
The event, scheduled for April 25, has been held at the Metrodome in the past. About 15,000 fans turned out for the scrimmage last year, according to the athletics department.
As far as options go, TCF Bank Stadium won’t be complete in time, but The PiPress’ Charley Walters says the team might be looking at area high schools as potential sites to get prep coaches more involved with the program.
