Branagh adds another award to list

For the third time this season, second time in the last two weeks and seventh time in her career, Minnesota senior volleyball player Nicole Branagh was named co-Big Ten player of the week.
She shares the honor with Michigan’s Alija Pittenger.
Branagh averaged over seven kills and nearly four digs in Minnesota’s two victories last week against Purdue and Illinois. Branagh leads the Big Ten in kills with 5.95 per game.
She also has 2,226 career kills, just 74 shy of former Gopher Katrien DeDecker’s all-time Big Ten career record.
Branagh’s play has helped eighth-ranked Minnesota to a 25-2 record, 14-2 and tied for first in the Big Ten with sixth-ranked Wisconsin.
The Gophers host Michigan on Friday night at the Sports Pavilion and Michigan State the following evening. Saturday night’s game will be the last regular season home action for Minnesota
