The Minnesota women’s basketball team leads the Big Ten’s second-place team Michigan State on the road 34-27 at haltime behind Emily Fox’s 11 points and Katie Ohm’s nine.

Ohm hit three 3-pointers in the first half, while Fox hit an array of jumpers and layups for her early point total.

The Gophers have struggled in Big Ten play with their shooting percentage, but have started tonight’s game hitting shots all over the court and at one point were 5-of-10 from 3-point territory.

Freshman Kiara Burford’s wide-open layup with just under five minutes remaining gave Minnesota an 11-point lead.

The Spartans scored six-straight points, but still trail by seven at haltime. Look for a complete game summary later tonight.
