Three Gophers baseball players were named on the Big Ten's Players to Watch List. Starting pitchers Alec Crawford and Ben Meyer along with catcher Matt Halloran were named to the list.
Crawford posted a 2.28 ERA last season in a little more than 50 innings. Meyer had a 2.80 ERA and went 5-4 on the season. Five wins is tops among returning pitchers. Halloran was second on the team last year with 26 RBIs. He hit .225 on the season and started 36 games behind the plate.
The conference also released a preseason coaches poll in which Indiana was unanimously chosen to win the Big Ten. Minnesota was not included in the five-team list.
