Ladia Albertson-Junkans has been named the Big Ten’s representative for NCAA Woman of the Year.
Albertson-Junkans finished her career as a four time Big Ten Champion. As a member of the cross country and track teams she was a three-time Gopher cross country MVP, the current record holder of Minnesota’s six-kilometer course and holds top-10 spots in five other events.
Each Big Ten school nominated a student-athlete, and Minnesota’s choice of Albertson-Junkans was selected to represent the Big Ten. She will now go up against the other NCAA conferences nominations for the award.
