University Police are investigating an alleged rape involving two University students that occurred in Territorial Hall between 1 and 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
A male student was arrested for “probable cause” in the incident and booked in Hennepin County Jail at about 6 a.m. Saturday. However, no charges have been filed against the man and he has no criminal history in Minnesota.
According to a police report, the female student reported she was sexually assaulted on one previous occasion last week by the same suspect.
University Police Sgt. Joe May said alcohol was involved in Saturday’s incident. But University Police declined to comment any further.
Both parties received medical treatment after the incident.
A women who reportedly witnessed the alleged assault declined to comment. Territorial Hall officials also had no comment.
