After rolling 4-0 past New Mexico in the first round of the NCAA men’s tennis tournament Friday at the University of Southern California, USC ended Minnesota’s season Saturday with a 4-0 win over the Gophers.
Minnesota ends the season with a record of 19-8 and missed out on what would have been its first trip to the Sweet 16 since 2000.
The Gophers still completed what is the best turnaround in school history, having gone just 7-17 last season.
