Most stores are rocking their holiday lines for the time being, but once January hit they'll be playing "Here Comes the Sun" and touting new flat front shorts and summer loafers. This is exactly where being from Minnesota can help you save a little bit. Due to the ever-apparent recession, many stores already have most of their winter season items on sale (even though we all know the end of winter isn't a groundhog away). Here are a few places to nab some Men's winter gear at less than you'd expect.

J Crew cashmere fingerless gloves at select stores: 9.99
  • Remember to ask for your extra 15% off with a student ID. They aren’t available online, but the Mall of America and Southdale stores have quite a few of them left.
Cashmere-lined leather gloves: $25-50 @ Saks Off Fifth downtown

H&M Knit Scarf: 12:99

  • This grey wool scarf is long enough to wrap around your next twice and tie is to block the vampryic Mr. Winter from your delicate neck.

Gilt Groupe Anything:

Frye Vintage Harness Boots

  • These are a little on the pricier side, but think of them as an investment. If you’re not into spend this much on a pair of shoes, check out DSW and the clearance racks at Bloomingdale’s. Whatever you decide, steer far clear of the Man-Ugg.
