Robert Bly reading at Willey Hall

Minnesota’s first poet laureate, Robert Bly, will be reading from his new book, “Stealing Sugar from the Castle,” in Willey Hall tomorrow night. The University of Minnesota purchased Bly’s archive in 2006, which is currently stored in the Elmer L. Anderson library on the West Bank. The archive contains over 80,000 pages of handwritten manuscripts and cost the University $775,000. Bly’s “The Light Around the Body” won a National Book Award in 1968 and he won the Poetry Society’s of America’s Frost Medal earlier this year. This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss! A reception will follow the event.
