U Poets showcase best work

University of Minnesota poets showcased their best work Thursday night in Rapson hall, reminiscing about their successful season and gearing up for next year’s slams. Even though the audience was small and intimate, their passion and execution was just as strong as though they were performing for an audience of 600.

The team ranked fourth out of 37 teams at the College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational earlier this month, making them one of the best college slam teams in the nation. They performed nearly all of the same poems Thursday night as a tribute.

Team member Michael Lee won best individual performer overall at this year’s CUPSI.
