Anderson will have to wait for win 1,000

The Minnesota baseball team took 2-of-3 from Michigan this weekend, but a series win wasn’t enough to make head coach John Anderson the 11th active coach with 1,000 career wins.  That distinction will have to wait until next weekend when the Gophers visit Penn State.

Still, the weekend was not without a silver lining.  Minnesota took over the top spot in the Big Ten with the series win and is a half game ahead of llinois entering the final weekend of the regular season.  The Gophers control their own destiny; a sweep of the Nittany Lions and they claim their first regular season title since 2004.
