Vice President Joe Biden has left the nation's capital to come to the Twin Cities.

Biden is visiting today to partake in a fundraiser for Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar. The fundraiser was at noon at a Hilton Hotel and according to the Star Tribune, tickets to the fund raiser ranged from $10,000 to $125.

Klobuchar is up for re-election in 2012, and Republicans are already lining up to try and take her seat.

One Republican, Pete Hegseth, is reported to have raised $160,000 since annoucing his candidacy.

However, Klobuchar already has quite a lead in funds. She was reported as coming into the year with more than $4.6 million to use on her campaign.

There was no word as to whether Vice President Biden would be sticking around in Minnesota for an extended period of time.
