The Gophers men’s hockey team moved up six places from 14th to 8th in this week’s USCHO.com poll after sweeping defending champion Minnesota-Duluth over the weekend.
Michigan took over the No. 1 spot in the rankings after Boston College lost its first game of the season. Denver is the top-ranked WCHA team in the USCHO.com poll at No. 3 in the nation.
Minnesota improved its record to 4-0-0 on the season and to 2-0-0 in the WCHA. The Gophers received one first-place vote.
Minnesota will take on Vermont at Mariucci Arena this weekend.
