New Food and Drug Administration rules will soon require chain restaurants, among others, to post calories on their menus. We applaud the FDA for arming people with information they need to make an informed, independent choice in regard to what they eat and drink. We think the potential for people getting “scared” away from high-calorie items is little, and the benefits outweigh the risks.
