John Anderson, Minnesota's baseball coach, announced the signing of seven athletes Wednesday in a release. The Gophers will add Lucas Pettersen, Micah Coffey, Alex Boxwell, Toby Hanson, Jeff Fasching, Lucas Gilbreath and Fred Manke next year.

"I believe this is another this is another very strong class of young men who will give us additional talent in the areas where we have need. I'm a believer in trying to identify kids who are strong matches for your program and institution academically, and who want to be here for the right reasons. This group of recruits gave us the impression from day one that they had a strong interest in Minnesota," Anderson said in a release.

The recruiting class includes two infielders, one outfielder, a catcher and three pitchers. Minnesota will begin its next season in mid-February.
