In her column on U.S. double standards concerning Israel and Iraq, “U.S. promotes double standards” (Oct.28), Sana Ansari made the following points: Iraq violates human rights, and Israel violates human rights. So why is it that liberals want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth but want to let Iraq thrive as Satan’s earth base?
Liberals will jump at the opportunity to list all the human rights violations (and anything else) they can about Israel, but when it comes to Iraq, “well, it’s not that big of a deal, really.” Ansari should be a little bit more careful in pointing fingers.
