Minneapolis ranked as fourth-best place in the world for a summer trip

by John Hageman

National Geographic recently named Minneapolis one of the 10 best summer destinations in the world. It is only one of three U.S. cities to make the list.

“A pedestrian-and-pedal-friendly downtown and welcoming Midwestern vibe make it easy for first-time visitors to quickly feel at home in Minneapolis.”

The site lists Target Field, restaurants, arts culture, and the city’s bike-friendly aspects as a reason to visit during the warm months, and leave the locals here to suffer during the cold ones.
