After 46 days without buses, students who could not use their U-Passes will be refunded, Parking and Transportation Services officials said Tuesday.
Depending on how students paid for their passes, refunds will be credited to student accounts or credit cards. Refunds are $18.40 per student, based on 40 cents per day the buses did not run.
Credits will be applied April 30. Lori Ann Vicich, marketing manager for Parking and Transportation Services, said Metro Transit normally bills the Parking and Transportation Services for U-Pass costs. She said Metro Transit will deduct the amount given in refunds from their usual bill to account for students’ refunds.
There are approximately 14,000 U-Pass customers.
