After scoring three goals and assisting on another in Minnesota’s 6-3 win over Nebraska on Friday, Gophers soccer freshman Taylor Uhl was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week.

Uhl’s hat trick was only the 12th in Gophers soccer history and was her second of the season. She has 30 points on the season, which is third-most by a freshman in Minnesota’s history and 10th most by any Gophers player in a single season. Her 13 goals are the second-most scored by a freshman at Minnesota.

This is the first time Uhl has won Offensive Player of the Week and the third time she has been named Freshman of the Week. She won the award previously on October 24 and August 22.

Minnesota will face rival Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament on November 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Evanston, Ill.
