Elmo should not have planned on going to that trumpet recital tonight. He was tired from traveling home from Texas this morning.
(Three hours later)
Elmo darted out of his state of relaxation upon hearing an incorrect entrance by the violinist at the recital. Until that point, everything had been wonderful. She must have been thinking of tomorrow’s partly sunny forecast with highs in the mid 30s. Or perhaps her head was in the clouds and possible snow of Wednesday’s forecast which was to reach a high of mid 30s. The trumpet player nailed the last note though, making the evening worthwhile.
