After spending the better part of a week cross-checking schedules, the athletics departments of Purdue and Minnesota finally agreed to a makeup date for the men’s basketball game that was snowed out Jan. 2 and 3.
The game was scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 23 in West Lafayette, Ind. Purdue will then turn around and head to Williams Arena for a rematch two nights later.
The time and television commitments have yet to be announced for the game.
Purdue at No. 13 and Minnesota at No. 19 are two of seven Big Ten teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 25, and the rescheduling of the game was considered a must because of the imminent influence the outcome will have on the seedings for the conference tournament on March 3-7 in Chicago.
