The University’s Carlson School of Management announced it will award Chris Jenkins his Bachelor of Science in business posthumously.

It is the first time the Carlson School has awarded a posthumous degree to a student.

Jenkins disappeared on Halloween last year. His body was recently found in the Mississippi River.

He was expected to complete his bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in marketing in May.

Sara, Jenkins’ older sister who graduated from Carlson School in 2000, will be accepting the award at the graduation ceremony in May.
