Junior forward Katie Bethke was named the Big Ten offensive player of the week on Monday after scoring the game-winning goal against Wisconsin in overtime, and scoring four goals against South Dakota on Sunday.
Bethke has talled 11 goals and 26 points for the season, which currently leads the Big Ten. She has the highest scoring season for Minnesota since 1999.
Bethke will be back in action on Sunday at 1 p.m. when the Gophers head to West Lafayette to play Purdue, the No. 1 ranked Big Ten team.
