With Elma washing her hair so much these days, Elmo was in serious need of new companionship. He contemplated this predicament as he pedaled to class noticing that today will be partly sunny with highs in the lower 20’s. When he almost ran over the stray dog asleep in the gutter Elmo crashed. The puppy suddenly awakened and apologized by licking Elmo’s face. Finding no
collar, Elmo declared, “I will call you Elmutt and you can live with me. I just hope Elma isn’t allergic to dogs. If she is, you’ll be in the yard tomorrow when it will be cloudy with a 40 percent chance of snow.“
