The St. Paul City Council will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 17 on the third floor of St. Paul’s City Hall for housing ordinances that could affect students living in St. Paul.
The Daily previously reported the hearing date incorrectly.
The three ordinances the public hearing will address would require landlords to install hard-wired smoke detectors and obtain a special license from the city’s fire marshal before leasing houses to student-renters.
If the ordinances pass, they could be enforced as early as January.
