Two women’s hockey stars earn All-America Honors

Minnesota junior defenseman Megan Bozek and sophomore foward Amanda Kessel were named CCM All-Americans Thursday.

Bozek, whose 41 points rank second amongst defensemen nationally, earned first-team honors. She recorded a point in 23 games this season and led Gophers defenseman with a +45 plus/minus rating.

Kessel was named to the second team. Her 76 points lead Minnesota and are third nationally and her plus/minus of +54 leads the team as well. Kessel is the only underclassman to earn All-America honors this sason.

Minnesota will play Cornell Friday night for a berth in the national championship game.
