Gophers Head Coach Richard Pitino looks on from the sidelines during a free throw attempt at Williams Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The Gophers entered the second half with a 47-31 lead over the Maryland Terrapins.

The Gophers have been practicing since the season officially started Oct. 15, but have recently had to pause due to positive COVID-19 cases. The team has yet to announce which players or staff have contracted the virus, the Pioneer Press reported.

With the season just under two weeks away, the team will not resume activities until they are cleared to do so. Recently, the team had been releasing its monthly totals on COVID-19 testing and cases, but has not yet given its October numbers.

This is a breaking news report. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
