At 5:42 p.m., 911 operators received a call about a shooting near Come Avenue and 15th Avenue SE, according to the Minneapolis 911 and Emergency Communications Center Incidents Dashboard.
No arrests have been made at this time according to Minneapolis Police. Como Avenue SE is blocked off by police tape at the time of publishing.
The shooting occurred at Water Wave TV, after which nearby businesses such as Blue Door Pub and Boludo were locked down. Blue Door Pub staff said an ambulance recovered one person.
MPD said when officers arrived, they found a man who had non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was then transported to the hospital.
In a statement from the police, the man had a verbal argument that escalated to gunfire.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Blue Door Pub bartender Ryan Morton said he saw people run out of Water Wave after a customer said they heard gunshots.
Blue Door manager Jonathan Nroe said cameras in Water Wave TV picked up one person shooting another. The victim proceeded to move to Boludo, where they awaited the authorities’ arrival.
According to Morton, Blue Door Pub went into a temporary lockdown while the incident occurred. After authorities arrived, they decided to close early and continued to serve customers already present.
