Even though the sport started as a fun family activity, it quickly grew into a passion for McCauley, who is in her first season playing for the Gophers.

A Division I golfer and senior in the Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota, Emma Carpenter went to high school in DeKalb, Illinois, where, before her, a girl’s golf team did not exist.

Isabelle McCauley has been tearing up fairways as a high school senior and shows no signs of stopping as she joins the Gophers women’s golf team this fall.
