For the second time this season, junior Jessica Granquist has been recognized by the Big Ten for her performance as the Gophers’ starting libero.
Notching a career-best 38 digs during the Gophers’ 3-1 win over Purdue, Granquist was named the Big Ten Player of the Week today. She also recognized on Sept. 6 with the high conference honors.
The recognition comes after the 17th-ranked Gophers won both home games this weekend, taking out Purdue on Friday and sweeping Indiana on Sunday.
The Gophers head out on the road this week, with a mid-week game against Iowa on Wednesday and a tough match-up with No. 25 Northwestern on Sunday.
They return home on Oct. 22, hosting No. 7 Illinois.
