With the release of their new track this week, “Wrath of God,” Crystal Castles tantalizes fans with a single that hints at everything and nothing at the same time. The new album, which drops on November 6th, is widely speculated to go in a new direction.
That means the third Crystal Castles album will be released after their November 1st show at First Avenue. Given the enthusiasm directed at both Ethan Kath and Alice Glass at their last First Avenue appearance, expect the same type of, if not heartier, response from the crowd.
Combined with their eerie earlier song release (and recent video), “Plague,” Crystal Castles continues to realize their ultimate reputation as an undoubtedly unique act.
