Gophers freshman defenseman Milica McMillen was named the WCHA's Rookie of the Week on Wednesday. McMillen became the third Gophers player to receive the award this season, joining Hannah Brandt and Maryanne Menefee.
McMillen has five goals this season, two of which came last weekend against North Dakota. She has tallied 11 points in 10 games played. Most of her scoring has come from power plays, where she has scored three times and provided six assists.
The top-ranked Gophers are 10-0-0 heading into this weekend’s series at Minnesota-Duluth.
