2,500 cars towed during snow emergency

A line of people waiting to get their cars goes out the door at the Minneapolis Impound Lot on Monday.

People lined up to get their cars out of the Minneapolis Impound Lot on Monday. Matt Laible, a spokesman for the city, said a total of 2,500 cars were towed during the three-day snow emergency period. Those who had their cars towed waited between three to five hours to pay the $138 fee to receive their car.
