U club lacrosse team ends season

The University men’s lacrosse team ended its season last weekend with a sixth place finish in the 10-team Upper Midwest Lacrosse League Championship. The team was 8-7 overall and went 1-2 in the tournament, beating Gustavus Adolphus and losing to Carleton and St. John’s.
Rugby
The University men’s rugby team went 2-2 over the weekend in St. Cloud at the All Saints Tournament. The team, 5-2, beat Minnesota–Duluth and Gustavus while losing to St. Cloud State and Winona State.
The team’s next match is May 17 against WSU in a battle for first place in the conference. Both teams have a 3-0 record in conference matches.
The women’s rugby team did not fare as well at the All Saints Tournament. The team went 1-2-1 in the tournament with losses to Macalester and Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Their only win was against Gustavus in a consolation match.
The women will rematch with their crosstown rival Macalester on May 10 at Fort Snelling.
Crew
The University men’s and women’s crew teams are in Philadelphia, Penn., for the Dad Vail Championships this weekend.
As the largest club collegiate rowing competition in the country, the Dad Vail Championships are considered the national championships for women’s club rowing. For the men, this weekend’s meet is a precursor to the Intercollegiate Rowing Association Regatta on May 29-31 in Camden, N.J.
