A man and a woman were killed in a motorcycle crash early Monday morning on West River Road Parkway near Fairview Hospital, said the University Police.
The motorcycle went off the road and crashed into a gate used for closing the road when the snow melts in spring, said Officer Lee North.
North said the accident was reported to a University security monitor by two people who saw the crash while walking across the Washington Avenue Bridge.
The man and woman have not yet been identified by police.
University Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call 624-3550 and leave a message for Officer North.
