Sen. John Carlson, R-Bemidji, showed support for students rallying outside the State Capitol Wednesday morning. Carlson co-sponsored a bill proposing a freeze on tuition and limitations on tuition increases for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.

Interpretive Naturalist Adam Barnett feeds a red-tailed hawk Tuesday at the Raptor Center in St. Paul. The red-tailed hawk is a permanent resident and educator at the center due to a non-releasable injury. Adam trains the hawk with the use of food as primary reinforcement. The staffs also obtain weights on birds on a daily basis to ensure their health.
