Tow-Arnett sidelined with injury

Lost in the commotion of Duane Bennett’s season-ending injury is center Jeff Tow-Arnett, who hurt his knee on the same play. Guard Ned Tavale was also injured in the game, though he is listed as the starter for this week’s game against Montana State. Brewster said Tow-Arnett is âÄúweek-to-weekâÄù but that he should be back before the end of the year. Junior Traye Simmons replaced him at center, and although Simmons made a high snap on an important fourth-down âÄî which Weber had to tip into the air to catch âÄî Weber said he is confident in his line. âÄúThis week is going to be very important for us as an offensive squad, to get a feel for each-other,âÄù quarterback Adam Weber said. âÄúThere are a lot of things that go into a game besides just blocking a guy that will take some time, but hopefully we can get those things addressed this week and eliminate some mistakes.âÄù âÄîTrevor Born Minnesota soccer off to best start in school history The Minnesota soccer team is off to its best start in the programâÄôs history. The GophersâÄô 6-0-0 mark is the first time the team has won its first six games. The last team to be undefeated through six contests was the 1995 squad that won its first five games before a 1-1 tie against George Washington. The Gophers are hoping the fast start is a good omen as the 1995 team went on to win the programâÄôs first Big Ten championship. The team has been led by the experience of the eight seniors that anchor the Minnesota roster. âÄîBlake Dahmen
