Smoking area at Target Field to be abolished

The designated smoking area outside of Target Field will be abolished, according to Fox 9.

Fans could previously leave the stadium, have a smoke, and return to their seats, according to the City Pages. But fans will now have to smoke across the street and cannot return to the stadium.

The Minnesota Ballpark Authority, which owns Target Field, is expected to make it official Friday.

The Twins will open their season Friday in Baltimore, and their home opener is Monday against the Los Angeles Angels.
