Tnce again the Daily’s cartoonist showed his disdain for facts in his Feb. 6 cartoon, implying that insufficient funds for NASA are due to President George W. Bush’s tax cut proposal and his prosecution of a possible war against Iraq. For the uninformed, funding for NASA was reduced under the Bill Clinton administration by $303 million in the years 1997, 1998 and 2000. In the first two years of the Bush administration, funding for NASA increased by $900 million and his proposed budget for next year calls for another $470 million increase for NASA.
