Senser convicted of two of three counts

According to the Star Tribune, Amy Senser was found guilty on two of three counts. She is accused of striking Anousone Phanthavong on a freeway ramp with her vehicle last summer in Minneapolis.

She was convicted today of criminal vehicular homicide, failing to stop and call for help immediately and leaving the crash scene. She was also convicted of a misdemeanor charge of careless driving.

Senser was not charged with criminal vehicular homicide gross negligence.

Prosecutors said Senser had to have known she hit someone, while Senser claimed she had no idea.

The jurors began deliberating on Tuesday and continued until the afternoon.

Sentencing is set for July 9th.
