Once again, the health insurance industry is trying to hijack health care reform, making the new legislation more profitable to them and health care more expensive to all Americans. This is wrong and will cause further deterioration in AmericaâÄôs standard of living. We need a single-payer health care system or, at the very least, a public option that excludes insurance companies from benefitting from it. The health insurance industry is the problem, and until we address this, the costs of health care will continue to spiral up. Thomas Reese Daily reader
