Your recent editorial concerning voting rights for convicted felons does not present all the facts.
In Minnesota, convicted felons are in fact allowed to vote once they have completed their sentence. In Minnesota, when a person is sentenced to jail or prison, they serve two-thirds of the sentence in a jail or prison and the final third is served on supervised release.
For example, someone sentenced to three years may be released after two years, but they would not have completed their sentence until the end of the third year. At that time, most would have their civil rights restored and be able to vote.
