Minnesota lands trio on all-Big Ten teams

The Minnesota soccer team scored three players on the all-Big Ten squads which were announced at the Big Ten tournament banquet on Thursday in Bloomington, Ind.
Sophomore defender Juli Montgomery made the first team while junior Laurie Seidl and senior Nicole Lee landed on the second team.
Montgomery has played in all but 43 minutes in Minnesota’s 18 games this year, and leads a defense which boasts eight shutouts this year.
“I’m extremely excited for Juli,” Minnesota coach Sue Montagne said. “She is having an outstanding season. This award is definitely well deserved.”
Lee and Seidl made an all-Big Ten team for the third time in both their careers. Lee ranks third in Minnesota history in career goals with 45, and 116 career points. Seidl’s 11 assists this year is tied for the second-best title in Minnesota history.
